Vintage Burleigh Ware Willow Cups and Saucers, Set of Eight
Did you know that by 1830 there were about 200 makers of underglaze blue willow in England? Another interesting tidbit I also recently learned from my blue willow research (it's truly a fascinating subject) is that the piece we know today as a "china cabinet" got it's name from Queen Mary II's special collection of blue and white porcelain that was imported from China from the East India Company. This set of 8 Burleigh Ware Willow teacups and saucers is looking for a home in a cabinet such as this and is the perfect addition to your own Blue Willow collection. Made in England, each cup measures 3.5”x2.5” (4.5” to handle) and each saucer is 5.75”. One cup has a tiny chip to its rim but otherwise they are in excellent vintage (circa 1930s) condition.
